"The products produced by Staco Energy Products Co. do not fall within the scope of the RoHS Directive that comes into effect on July 1, 2006, as they are considered within EEE Category 9, Monitoring and Control Instruments, which are specifically identified as being out of the scope of the Directive, as stated in article 2(1) of the Directive.

Furthermore, Staco Energy Products’ panel mount, single-phase Variable Transformers are out of the scope of the Directive due to their “component” status, as they are integrated into other products, and, not simply connected to them. They will be accounted to RoHS within the “parent” product’s responsibility. However, Staco Energy may receive customer requests for these products to be compliant, rather than legislative requirements, if a customer is incorporating the single-phase panel mount variable transformers into a product that does fall under scope of the RoHS Directive. The panel mount single-phase variable transformers produced by Staco energy do not contain substances in amounts prohibited by the RoHS Directive
