(Read full article in .pdf) NEW Staco Energy announces the appointment of their new Marketing Manager, Jim Hall, effective October 18, 2010. Jim will be working out of the Staco Energy headquarters in Dayton, Ohio. Jim comes to Staco most recently from Liebert Corporation, a division of Emerson Network Power, where he held several marketing roles, and was previously Director, Broadband Power for American Power Conversion, a division of Schneider Electric. Jim also serves as President of the Blade Systems Alliance. NEW Staco Energy announces the appointment of a new Eastern Regional Sales Manager, Steve Sims, effective August 9, 2010. Steve will be working out of the St Louis, MO office and service customers for all product lines. Steve comes to Staco most recently from Chloride Power Solutions where he was the Central Regional Sales Manager. Steve also has an extensive sales background with Liebert in their TVSS business unit as well as with GE in their capacitor business unit. NEW The FirstLine® second generation 10kva three-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (FLU-10S) is now available. This true on-line, double-conversion UPS provides computer grade power quality at a price that is significantly below comparable kVA models. Even with its small footprint, 46” height and low weight, the FirstLine® has a standard battery run-time of over nine minutes (with optional batteries for extended run times). Sophisticated power electronics technology provides reliable blackout protection and power conditioning. NEW StacoSine active harmonic filters are now available as open-chassis type units. These are ideal for use in motor control centers, switchgear and other electrical power distribution equipment. Systems integrators can also benefit as the active filters can be incorporated as part of drive packages and other control and monitoring systems. Units are offered from 25 through 300 amp ratings and can paralleled up to six filters. Ratings are 208 through 690vac, with harmonic correction from 3rd to 51st harmonics. StacoSine active filters immediately improves electrical system efficiency, while reducing operations and maintenance costs. Rich comes to Staco with over thirty years experience in the electrical industry, specific to the power factor correction capacitor business. The majority of his career was with General Electric, with varying roles in management. Other past assignments include Gentec U.S. and Northeast Power Systems. At Staco, Rich will be responsible for developing and managing a program targeted for industrial customers, helping to reduce their cost of electricity, billed by energy and utility companies.
